There are a number of “iconic” sights around the park and the valley to photograph. A few of them I can’t help but snap every time I visit. Of them are waterfalls, cascades and other water features.

There are a number hikes that I have taken or would like to take (and one, I have no interest in taking). In this post, I’ll share with you the Happy Isles to Nevada Falls loop. A Month after the Yosemite Falls trip, I tackled this hike. (July 2003)

Driving Yosemite Valley

inspiration-point

If you only have one day to enjoy the park, the Valley is the place to be. It is seven square miles of the most scenic visits anywhere. The Valley is about seven mile long and about a mile wide. There are many places to stop and soak it in. In this post I take you around the valley from one of the valley’s entrances (on Wawona Road after exiting the Wawona Tunnel). Come with me for a drive around the valley. I’ll point out some photo-ops along the way.
