History was never exciting for me. First off, it required reading, which I still have trouble with. But more to the point, “Who cares?’ I mean, obviously something happened in the past, but what possible relevance can it have today? In the past forty to forty-five years, that world view has been interrupted, quite to my surprise, due to a number of events in my own history.


Driving Yosemite Valley

If you only have one day to enjoy the park, the Valley is the place to be. It is seven square miles of the most scenic visits anywhere. The Valley is about seven mile long and about a mile wide. There are many places to stop and soak it in. In this post I take you around the valley from one of the valley’s entrances (on Wawona Road after exiting the Wawona Tunnel). Come with me for a drive around the valley. I’ll point out some photo-ops along the way.
